Ted has been passionately involved in all things cocktailian for as long as he can remember. Since moving to St. Louis in 2006, Ted K. has helped shape St. Louis’s drinking palate by heading up the drink programs at Monarch and Taste by Niche. Being an owner at Planter’s House is a dream come true, and now it is his playground for cocktail creation. He is our Proprietor, Beverage Director, and Cocktail Geek.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Ted C. spent many years on the West Coast working in the bar and restaurant industry. It was while in Portland, Oregon that he opened the well renowned Teardrop Cocktail Lounge, which has garnered many accolades and is one of the preeminent cocktail spots on the West Coast. In 2010, Ted C. moved back to St. Louis to be closer to family and friends. He draws upon his vast restaurant and bar experience as he leads the helm at Planter’s House. He is our Proprietor, General Manager, and Organization Expert.
Jamie’s Saint Louis bartending experience includes Terrene, Niche, and Cielo. Her love for vintage can be seen in the décor of Planter’s House. Jamie’s approach to both bartending and restaurant management is reflective of her constant striving to be the “hostess with the mostest”. She is our Manager, Seamstress, and Carpenter.
Executive Chef Sam Boettler is a 24 year veteran of the culinary industry. His past experience includes Element and the now shuttered The Vine Wine Bar & Bistro in St. Charles, MO. He describes his food as "simple comfort food" with French bistro influences. He is our Executive Chef and On-Site Star Wars Expert.
